Discover our Reproduction Range
Whilst original period furniture were made out of solid mahogany or yew, modern production practices are using a veneer technique. This consists in making a complete structure in composite wood which is then carefully layered with mahogany, cherry, yew or oak veneer and meticulously varnished. All our units are handcrafted by our artisans in the UK.
This technique allows a greater level of flexibility in the making of furniture without compromising its feel and quality. It allows to match not only the style, but also the tone of colour by using various finishing techniques. The size of the unit can be adapted in order to fit within the chosen space; making this process ideal especially for those furnishing period properties without compromise.
